Vaultwood Core™ is a specified premium MDF panel core. The idea behind it is simple: anywhere a panel has to stay flat, hold its hardware, and carry a load, the core, not the finish, decides whether the piece performs in year one and year ten.
Ingredient brand
Vaultwood Core is built to a consistent 45 to 49 pcf density with modulus of rupture over 4,500 psi and face screw-holding of 275 to 350 lbf, verified per ASTM D1037[4] and graded to ANSI A208.2[2]. It meets EPA TSCA Title VI[7] and CARB Phase 2[8], with NAF options on file[11].
A hidden bookcase door is the most demanding version of that problem, a tall panel that must swing on concealed hardware and stay dead flat under shelf load. It is the proof case, not the whole market. The same core logic applies across six application families. Pick the one closest to your build.
