Certifications and Responsible Sourcing
Vaultwood Core™ is produced only by qualified, specified suppliers, and those suppliers participate in recognized third-party certification programs.
We list named certifications rather than making any blanket "green" or "eco-friendly" claim, consistent with the FTC Green Guides. Certification applies to specific mills, product lines, and production runs, so always request the current certificate and claim code for the specific panel you are buying.
Programs carried by qualified suppliers
- SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative): a forest certification and chain-of-custody program covering responsible fiber sourcing[11].
- FSC (Forest Stewardship Council): a forest management and chain-of-custody certification[11].
- CPA Eco-Certified Composite (ECC): the Composite Panel Association program covering criteria such as low formaldehyde emissions and recycled or recovered fiber content[10].
- Recycled content: WestPine EcoGold is produced with recycled content[11].
- NAF (No Added Formaldehyde): WestPine EcoGold is a no-added-formaldehyde product[11].
Vaultwood Core panels are sourced from specified suppliers including Weyerhaeuser Super-Refined MDF2, Roseburg Medite, and WestPine EcoGold, and we do not substitute unqualified material[11]. The certifications that apply to your order depend on which supplier and product line fills it, which is exactly why the certificate and claim code should travel with the panel.
To verify a claim for your panel
- Ask which supplier and product line is filling your order.
- Request the current certificate for the relevant program.
- Request the claim code tied to that certificate so the certification traces to your specific material.
Separately, Vaultwood Core panels are specified to meet formaldehyde emission requirements under EPA TSCA Title VI[7] and CARB Phase 2[8], and WestPine EcoGold is NAF[11].
Request the current certificate and claim code
Certification applies to specific mills, product lines, and production runs. Before you rely on a program, request the current certificate and the claim code for the specific panel filling your order so the certification traces to your material.
